Sleeping on the Sidewalk

This is a super simple outfit from a few days ago. I paired my black bodysuit from eBay with a pair of thrift shorts, black tights, and my black pumps from Aldo. I used to wear the shorts I wore in these old photos tonnes, but I think the ones in these photos have become my new favourites. They're more form fitting and the denim is nicer, and I love the slightly nautical look the triple buttons on the pockets give to them. I bought them from a vintage shop a couple of years ago but hadn't worn them much till this year.

I've been thinking about it, and I think I'd like to start writing some more personal type posts, about some of my past experiences and such. Sometimes I feel as though my posting is a bit boring and repetitive. What sort of posts would you like to see in the future? Any suggestions for posts are welcome.

Under Pressure

This is a 1960s inspired outfit I wore a few days ago. I paired a little white cardigan with my thrifted navy dotted skirt, sheer Hue stockings, black Aldo pumps, and thrifted coat.

What I love about this coat is that it has removable faux fur cuffs, I removed them for this look, but left them attached in this one from last January. I think it really changes the look of it depending on whether they're attached or not. I didn't wear it much last year, but I think I'll be wearing it more this autumn/winter. I bought it at a thrift shop last year for under $10 and it's in very good condition, definitely one of my favourite finds!

I wore stockings with this outfit instead of tights, and a word of advice about wearing stockings and garter belt under a short skirt: always practice going upstairs before leaving the house to make sure your skirt is short enough for everything still be covered as you walk up them. In my defence, I hadn't intended to go anywhere where there were stairs, but sometimes you'll end up going places you hadn't originally planned, and well, having the bands of your stockings showing while you're walking up stairs isn't the classiest thing imaginable.

However, these things happen. C'est la vie.

Black Mesh

I paired the black mesh panel bodysuit I bought from Sirens recently with a pair of black high waist trousers with tiny white dots on them. The trousers were thrifted and I forget where the trench is from, as I've had it for years. The heels, one of my favourite pairs, are Steve Madden.

The jewellery items are my usual ones, the nail varnish is OPI's Dazzle from their old DS Series, and my lipstick is just a bit of Coral Queen by Rimmel blended with a peach lip gloss.

I think this is one of my favourite outfits of the ones I've posted recently. I was going for a sort of Bond Girl inspired look, I think it turned out fair enough!
