Have to keep away from the shops. I'd gone to The Bay to buy a new pair of tights, and since I had extra time I decided I couldn't help but go have a little look around the mall shops. I'm sure that happens to some of you and not just me, doesn't it?

The first shop I popped into was Sirens, and they had tonnes of different styles of blazers in several colours. I tried on a few and settled on this one. It fits quite well and I'd been looking for the right red blazer for ages, so I was quite pleased to find this one. I figure I can dress it up or down, and it's a lovely shade of red.
This dress was the second item I picked up, and I absolutely love it. It's very form fitting and I love the cross straps on the back. It reminds me a bit of Brigitte Bardot.

The final two clothing items I picked up were these shorts and little top.

I love, love this little sequinned top. It reminds me a bit of 1920s flapper style, with its loose fit and sequins.

I'd looked at these shorts the past few times I'd been in Sirens, and with tights weather coming up, I thought they'd look nice with quite a few different things. I'm not sure if I'll leave the buttons on, replace them, or take them off entirely. When I bought them, I thought I'd remove them, but they've sort of grown on me.

These are the tights I originally went to purchase. Hue Tights are by far the best quality I've worn lately. I had a pair of backseam tights from Forever 21, but they snagged incredibly easily and had began to look an utter mess. These ones feel about 10 times better, quality wise. And I think they look nicer, also, with a slightly thinner seam at the back. They were a bit more expensive at $13, compared to about $8 at Forever 21, but the quality of them makes them worth it, in my opinion.
These are my final and favourite item. They're a pair of classic black pointed toe pumps with small gold tone studs all over them. I completely love, love, love them. They're Anne Michelle's Sensuous heels and they were $65. They were a bit more than I'd typically spend on any single item, as I'm a student and generally a bit cheap when it comes to clothes and such, but I just loved them too much. I believe they run a bit large, as I had to get a half size smaller than I normally wear.

I just love the contrast between the very classic heels and edgy studs, they're definitely going to be a favourite pair this autumn and winter.

Those shoes are incredible.
ReplyDeleteBe careful with those tights! I actually just bought some myself and they got a run in them the very first time I wore them. Bummer because they made my legs look killer. :/ Just be extra careful with your nails.
Having tights and stocking get snagged the first time you wear them is the worst! Truly one of my main fashion-related pet peeves in life, haha. x
DeleteGhfljds I love all of this. Those shoes are killer. And I agree with buying tights that are a little more expensive - heck, I do that with all my clothing. I want it to last as long as possible!

ReplyDeleteshoes are perfect!
ReplyDeleteI really want a pair of studded heels like that. I may have to find flats so I can walk to class in them though. I love how edgy they look while still being so classic.
