BEACH SIDE

Here are a few pictures from last week when mum and I went to the beach. It was literally the perfect beach day, sunny, not too cold, not too windy, just perfect, haha.


Just when we'd gotten to the beach there was a huge navy frigate that was (I'm guessing) heading back towards the Esquimalt naval base.








On the other side of the street there's a little inlet where all the birds like to hang out, haha.

TUESDAY NIGHT

I got a bit side tracked whilst tidying my room and closet a couple of nights ago and took some goofy pictures with my webcam. Ahaha, big suprise, isn't it?

For anyone wondering, the tights are Secret, as normal. The oversized t-shirt came from a thrift shop, and the shorts, which you can barely see, are from a couple of years ago.









I still haven't gotten downtown, I was going to this morning but I woke up late and couldn't get myself together enough to get my arse down there. I'm going tomorrow, I swear, haha.

SHE'S ON FIRE

Good afternoon, lovelies, hope everyone's having a nice day so far!

I cannot believe it's only Thursday, it feels like it should be the weekend already, haha. I'll give you a little run down of my week so far.

On Monday, I wrote an English exam and tried to figure out what novel I want to read for my report. I'm trying to decide between Good Omens and Monkey Beach. I was originally going to read Good Omens, but I'm not big on sci-fi, save for Doctor Who, that is. So I'm still not sure which I'm going to read for it.

Then I wrote a 1,800 word report on plot devices on Tuesday and finally finished tidying up my room, for now. Going to try to keep it tidy this time, really.

Yesterday I went to the beach with mum and Fluffy. It was the perfect January beach day, not too windy or cold, nice and sunny, just spot on, haha. I'll post a few pictures shortly!

I hadn't anything planned out for today, which was good considering I got barely enough sleep last night, I really don't like restless nights, haha. Now I'm just sitting at my desk, writing up this post while listening to to Train, with Power & Politics on my relic TV in the background.

Tomorrow, I'm planning on going down to Munro's to see if the January issue of British Glamour is in yet, and then going to spend a little time downtown since I haven't been for ages!

NEVER HAD A GOOD TIME

I've been practicing sewing a little bit over the last few months. I sort of got into it when we got all that snow in November and altered a few skirts and things.

I'd half finished hemming this skirt and then left it to finish it later. But then it was Christmas time and I was busy, and lazy, and then Christmas was over, but the break wasn't, but I was still lazy. Regardless of that, this skirt sat in my closet half finished for about 2 months, until I finished it a couple of days ago.

Mum picked it up for me at a thrift shop a while ago, and I love the pattern. It used to be down to my ankles, but I like the new length I made it much more, haha.

DO OR DO NOT, THERE IS NO TRY

I think we all know I love shoes, right?

I had a bit of extra money before Christmas and bought a few new pairs. I seem to never buy new clothes anymore, just shoes. But that's alright by me!


I've been searching for a nice, relatively plain pair of red heels for ages, and finally found them.

They were $27 from Forever 21's Canadian site.


Just before Christmas, I popped into Sirens and found these amazing glitterly black platforms for $30.


They were having a 50% off sale, so for $45 I bought the black, and silver. And really, I think $45 would've been fair for one pair, since they're suprisingly nicely made and really fun shoes!

Shoes and glitter are my vices, ecspecially when the two are combined, and for that price and having a little leftover Christmas shopping money, I couldn't help myself, haha.


These were $15 and from Sirens, also. I know that most pointed toe shoes are categorically "out of style", but I love how simple and retro they are. They sort of remind me of Marilyn Monroe-type court shoes!


I couldn't decide between this picture and the next, so you're getting both! Haha.
