Christmas Goodies!

This is going to be a terribly materialistic and self indulgent post. You have been warned.

Last year I didn't make a post about anything I was given at Christmas out of laziness. But this year I decided I would, I'm a little uncomfortable since posting this sort of feels like bragging, but here goes, anyways.

I got this gorgeous little owl ring in my stocking from mum, I love love love it! And I promise my nails are much whiter than they look here, it's the lighting in all of these photos that is making everything a little yellow/orangy. But I also guarantee that I do have old lady hands, and that's not just the lighting, haha.

I got these two Christmas tree ornaments, they're so sparkly and pretty, love.

My aunt gave me these gorgeous earrings from a little shop downtown.

Mum gave me this little lavender sachet, lavender is my absolute favourite scent, ever.

She also gave me this book, it's really cute and interesting, haha.

And this amazing little camera, it's like a polaroid camera by Fuji film. The photos it takes are amazingly nice quality, the three in the picture below are some of the ones I've taken.

This is my by far the silliest and neatest thing I was given this Christmas. It's a Hello Kitty toaster, I've seen them online for ages, but I was completely suprised to be given one at Christmas, haha.

And finally, the most amazing gift ever, haha. My new laptop, my old one was about 6 years old and literally falling apart, so this was my combined Christmas and (early) graduation gift. It's juts really great, that's all I can say, haha.

I hope everyone's had a lovely holiday season! And, for anyone who celebrates it, what lovely things did you all get for Christmas?

CHRISTMAS COMES BUT ONCE A YEAR

I didn't take a lot of photos on Christmas day, and the ones I did are just sort of boring family photos. But, I did take some of my room a few days before!

Like last year, I got myself a little tree for my room and decorated it with some tinsel and ornaments that we didn't put on our normal tree.

And here's two photos of it after I finished decorating it!

It's looking a little sad and dry now, so I'm planning on un-decorating and taking it down the day after tomorrow.

That glittery high heel is one of my absolute favourite ornaments! I bought it for my tree while Christmas shopping this year, haha.

Magazines are my vice. Well, magazines and shoes, I should say.

And here's my desk all decked out for Christmas. I've had that "I ♥" board I made up for ages, I really should start writing some of the things I ♥ on it, haha.

G'DAY

Hi everyone, hope you all had a lovely holiday! I certainly did!

I have a bunch of Christmassy pictures that I'll be posting soon, but since I still need to transfer those my computer, here are a few from a couple of days ago I took with my webcam out of boredom.

Oh, and Happy Boxing Day!

My baby poinsettia, I'm kind of torn as what to do with it now that Christmas is over.

LIFE GOES BY QUICK, SO DON'T YOU LET THAT TIME TICK

Here's a couple more photos from Sunday, I need to do an actual photoshoot soon! But I 'spose I need to come up with some ideas first, haha.

Also, free daily newspapers FTW, even if there are some grammatical errors.

A DAY IN DECEMBER

Here is what I wore on Sunday!

I've had this Mickey and Minnie Mouse t-shirt since last year, and I still love it! It's easily one of my favourite t-shirts, but I only wear it in December since it's pretty Christmassy, haha.

The black skirt is from Suzy, the tights are Secret, and the cardigan is an old favourite from a thrift shop.

Finally, the heels are from Sirens. They are so lovely; I bought them last week + will post better photos of them soon!

THE TRUTH IS RARELY PURE AND NEVER SIMPLE

I haven't posted an outfit look for ages, so here is what I wore on Monday!

I've had this dress for ages, but had entirely forgotten about it as it was buried under a bunch of stuff in a bin in the attic. It's from a thrift shop and I'm glad I found it again, because I really like it. The length is a little longer than most of my dresses and skirts, but I like that about it.

The sheer tights are Silks from The Bay. The heels are one of my favourite pairs from La Chateau, that I bought about a year and a half ago, they've held up surprisingly well.

Anyways, it's mid-Saturday afternoon and I haven't done near anything of any importance today. But it's the weekend, that's what it's for, right? Haha, I'm kidding, I have things to do, that I will do... later, or tomorrow.

Bye!

MORNING FOG

I was sitting in the house when I happened to look out the window and see that this amazingly thick fog had drifted in.

It looked so eerie, which is one of the reasons I love fog, haha.

BOW HEELS

Here are a few better pictures of my new heels with the bows.
They're so pretty and were only $12, adore them!

WATCH YOU WORK THE ROOM

Here are a couple of pictures I took earlier today before I went out. I don't think I had worn that denim shirt since February, I quite like it though! I wore it with my red bow tie, black skinny jeans, black ankle boots with ruffles, and my black coat. I got the bow tie from the Halloween section of a thrift shop, it doubled as a hair bow. Love it.

Looking back to how I styled it last time, in February, I feel like I've really figured out my style. But, I still don't really know how to describe how I dress, haha.

Also, BOW TIES ARE COOL.

I'm not usually a fan of Christmas music, but:

There are a few that I really love. Now granted, none of them are particularly "classic" Christmas carols, but they're still my favourites!

Step Into Christmas by Elton John. I've loved this one since I was a kid and first heard it on a Christmas song compilation CD that my mum has!

Don't Shoot Me Santa by The Killers. This has been a staple on my Christmas playlist since it came out in 2008.

War Is Over by John Lennon. Another all time favourite of mine. :)

And finally, All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey.
This is seriously one of my favourite Christmas songs, ever. And might I just steal the outfit she's wearing at 3:22 in the video? It's adorable!

THURSDAY EVENING

This is Shy, she's one of our little girls. I'm going to pretend and say she's waving "hello" with her back foot, haha.

Lady Grey is my new favourite tea, so lovely! And I used to read NYLON all the time, and since I hadn't for a while I picked up the latest issue at the corner store last week.

Hope you're all having a lovely Friday night!

HOLLYWOOD IS DEAD

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Good lord, I haven't updated my blog for over a week, that hasn't happened for a while. I've been extra busy with school and holiday things, which is why I haven't been posting much, and I can't even say I see the end of the busy-ness coming to any definite end yet, but it's all good!

I finally started my Christmas shopping today, which has me feeling so much more relieved. And, I found a few cute things to decorate my room with for cheap, so I'm happy, haha. Tomorrow I'm going to do a little more Christmas shopping, and maybe, with a little luck and persistence, I really will be done with it by the 15th of the month I like I wanted. Saturday is supposed to be a special day in downtown Victoria when a bunch of the buskers are all going to be out and playing their music, so if it happens to not be raining too much, I think I'll head down there for a bit and wander 'round.

My mum bought me the shoes in the picture above a week or so ago, they were $12 from Suzy. I completely love them, they're basically the only shoes I've worn since I'd had them, haha. They're satin covered with a satin bow on the back, it's a bit hard to see in that picture, though.

HELLO, HELLO

This video is actually from last night, not tonight, but no, I didn't get my Christmas shopping started today. I'll try to make my next video less boring, haha.
In other news, happy December!
