As I mentioned in my last post, I went to Victoria's Royal London Wax Museum this morning with Mum. I'd never been so I wasn't sure what to expect, I'd been putting off going for ages and ages, but when I saw on the news a few days ago that it was closing this Sunday, I thought I better get my arse down there if I wanted to see it.
It was definetly worth a look, some of the statues looked a lot like the people they were of, others just kind of looked like they were staring into your soul...
ANYWAY, I didn't think cameras were allowed in there, but I brought mine anyway, in case they were allowed, and they were! So I took a few pictures.
They're not fantastic because I didn't bring my good camera, too big to try to fit in my bag with all my other crap.
When you walk in from the reception area (or whatever you'd call it) the first statue you see is a fairly current looking one of the Queen. This was one of my favourites, natch.

Then down the hallway slightly there's more member of the Royal Family, and a statue of the Queen from when she was younger beside one of Prince Phillip.

Than across from them are statues of Tony Blair and Lady Thatcher.

Next to them were a bunch of American Presidents and Canadian Prime Ministers.

Than just before you head downstairs to the bottom floor, there are statues of Prince William and Princess Diana.

I had to take a picture of Marilyn, of course. There was a fan on the floor below the statue that was making her skirt blow around in the air to replicate the scene in Seven Year Itch.

Elizabeth Taylor was also in the Hollywood section.

And Elvis next to her.

Those were basically my favourite statues. I missed one of the halls, I think it was the Religion section, so I'm not particularly regretting having missed it. There's a big U-shaped room on the ground level, and then you go downstairs for the rest, and it's awfully dark in some of the halls and is quite a tight squeeze when there's a bunch of people in there. It's admittedly a little claustrophobic, even for someone who usually isn't that way, but other than that, worth the $10.
After that, we had a little time before we had to get going so we walked down the causeway a little and then over to the Parliament Buildings.
I took a few pictures, but they're not great, I need to take my proper camera down there one day soon. When I'm using this one it seems to basically retard any photography skills I have.
Regardless of that, here's the Empress. I have a feeling this might just be the angle I've been looking for to take a nice photo of it, I just need to bring my normal camera next time.

Across from the harbour are the Parliament Buildings. I
love this building... these buildings? I don't know what's proper, but either way, love it/them/whatever.

Mum took a few of me in front of it, I felt like such a tourist even though this is my city, haha.

I actually love this one. I don't know if I've ever posted a picture with it in it, but that's been my bag for almost... 2 1/2 or 3 years now. I'm lazy and it goes with everything without being entirely boring. Speaking of old things, those have been basically my only plain blue jeans for all of high school.

Did I mention I love this building?

Now, this could have been a really nice picture, if I wasn't making such a herp-derp face with my eyes half closed. Sew attractive*~.

So, that was my Saturday... morning.
