Dinner

I took this picture of my dinner a couple of days ago, I meant to post it sooner, but I wanted to get my make video out of the way first.



Basically, salad, leftover from the night before chicken, two pieces of bread with vegan 'butter' on them and ketchup, for the chicken, of course.

MAKEUP TUTORIAL

IT IS FINALLY HERE.

And it's been a process:

- I had to shoot it twice.
- I spent about an hour editing it, BECAUSE I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING.
- And couldn't figure out for the life of me why it wouldn't upload to youtube, until I tried the basic uploader, that is.

Low Fat Waffles with Apple and Maple Syrup

Mum and I made these for breakfast this morning. I wanted to make waffles and was originally going to use my mum's old recipe, but when I realised there were about 15 grams of fat per waffle, which I really did not want. I found this recipe after searching for low fat waffle recipes, and they only have 2 grams of fat, and actually tasted better than the old recipe!

I put almost an entire chopped up apple, and about an eighth of a cup of maple syrup on mine, it was really nice!

SUNDAY

Yesterday was chill out day for me, which I spent: hanging around home, taking pictures of various things, going to the grocery store, yard-work, and planning out stuff to do this week.

When I got dressed and did my makeup I attempted to do a makeup tutorial video which I've been talking about doing a lot lately, didn't really work out. I tried again this morning, but I haven't edited it yet. I'm going to look over it tonight, just in case I have to do another retake tomorrow, which I might.

I went to the grocery store with mum to pick up a few things, and then when we got back I cleaned the barn yard. And bought this while I was there.



One of those nougat bars with candies in them, so much sugar in those things. I used to love them as a kid, but they're almost too sweet for me now.

It's my job, AND it's good exercise, so I don't mind it, even though it's a dirty job. And then I took a few pictures of some of the blossoms on our apple trees.





After that I came in and tried editing my makeup video, which is when I realised a few things:

1. I mumble, a lot.
2. I am bad at explaining how I do my makeup.
3. I fidget too much.
4. The tone of my voice is inconsistent.
5. I had to re-take that video.

Other than that, I didn't do a whole lot yesterday, caught up on a bit of Social Studies homework. Oh, and I watched the hockey game, and am happy that the Canucks made the next round! After that I wasn't sure what to do, so I ran outside in the yard and took a few more pictures.

I'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE

I took these a day or two ago at night, hence the darkness and orangey colouring, I kind of like it though.

Those jeans are little big, they're a size too big actually, but they were $5 at the Salvation Army and basically fit, so I'm good, haha. The top is actually a bodysuit, which I absolutely love!I adore bodysuits though.




I have problems attempting look like a moody hipster, as you can see. Probably because I'm not one and don't want to be.

I haven't posted any outfit pictures for ages, just over 2 weeks. I think that's a record for me!
Anyway, I took these the day before yesterday. It was simple and only two colours, but I really loved that outfit.

My mum and I made sauceless pizzas for dinner a couple of nights ago, looked a little nicer than they tasted, they were just a touch bland, but overall good!

You can really see the scars on my knee in this one, jeez. It's still my favourite tho.

Homemade Taffy

I was on a cooking binge for a couple of days. My mum and I made these, they were actually really good!

I wanted to make it, but then almost decided not to since I thought it might be a bit of a hassle, but it wasn't really at all.

The recipe calls for 'flavoring', we weren't sure what to use so we ended up using just a bit of Vanilla extract, and it worked out quite well. Also, we only made half the recipe, and it still made a decent sized batch. And when finished we wrapped them all in pieces of wax paper. :)

Have I mentioned how much I love Kate Nash?
I just bought her album (it was weird, I haven't bought a CD for ages) but haven't put it on my computer/ipod yet, has anyone else listened to it?
I loved her first album, Made Of Bricks, and what I've heard of this one so far is awesome!

I don't have much to say in an update, so this isn't really an update other than to say what I've said and post these fairly new pictures. I have some new outfit pictures and other misc ones that I will be posting soon. C U guys later.

Rolled Cookies

And not just rolled cookies, Nutella rolled Cookies. I tried making these a couple of days ago, they actually turned out quite good, other than they could have used a little more Nutella and 5 less minutes in the oven.

It was the first time I've made any form of pastry, the recipe calls for a food processor, but I used a multi-blade pastry knife and it seems to work perfectly fine.

SPRING IS HERE

And I hope it stays this time, the weather last two days has been warm and gorgeous.

Here are a few pictures I took last week of our garden and one of the house. I think they've got a little bit of a dark undertone, but that's because it was a little dark out and very cloudy the day I took these.

No, I'm still around, just busy with school and life in general. I haven't had the time or patience to take outfit photos, but I have some kind of arty ones of flowers and food that I will be posting soon.

Sorry for neglecting this blog, I'm just drained of ideas of things to post lately, which is why I haven't been updating.

I will post some photos I have taken recently later today.

This Is Me

I'm not saying I don't love makeup, big hair and everything else about how I normally look, but I like this just as much.

No false eyelashes, or tonnes of face and eye makeup. Just my natural eyelashes (or lack there of), freckles, and any other blemishes or scars.

No teasing, hairspray or anything else. Just my brushed out dirty hair before washing it.

No nice clothes. Just my ratty old pajama top (which I am throwing out as soon as I can wear my short sleeved pajama shirts) and nothing else.

I used to not like how I looked without makeup, used to not want to even see the real me. I've changed in the last year, I like myself with no makeup just as much as I do with makeup.

I honestly think everyone is beautiful in their own way, and when you feel beautiful, you look beautiful. It's cliche, but I do not care, it's what I truly think.









I just want to say one last thing. If you save any of these and look at the properites, the reason why the 'Creation Software' is Photoshop CS2 is because I resize all my vertical photos by hand to the size of 483 x 725 pixels. I have not touched these up.
