The Boy Who Knew Too Much

I bought Mika's new record on Tuesday, and I have absolutely fallen in love with it. Mika is truly one of my favourite artists, and I've been waiting for this album since Life In Cartoon Motion debuted.
Also, the album artwork is fabulous as always.
My favourite songs on it so far are Blame It on the Girls, Rain, Good Gone Girl, We Are Golden and By The Time.
I almost forgot, I must say he is looking completely gorgeous on the first page of CD booklet!♥
What's your favourite recent CD release?

o dear.

I posted an entry earlier today about my basic Art class that I'm starting tomorrow, but I accidentally deleted it. I'm just posting this to say that I'm still going tomorrow, and I'll update about it after I've gone tomorrow. I'm not absolutely positive how it's going to work out, but I've got to give it a go, tomorrow's is only about 50 minutes long, regularly they're 65 - 80 minutes. If it doesn't in fact end up working out, I'm already planning to enroll in a Photography course in the second semester of the 09/10 school year.

While I'm posting this I might as well post a little bit about my schooling. I entered grade 11 this year, and ever since I was little I've done Distance Education, it's very hard to explain, but I'll try.

I do my Distance Ed with a government schooling programme called SIDES (South Island Distance Education). It's a public school curriculum programme, that you can do from home or anywhere else in the world. You have exactly the same work as public school students, and have your textbooks, and teachers you can meet with, phone, or email anytime to get any extra help with your work.

Now, I want to make this absolutely clear that it is not a homeschooling set-up where your parents teach you what they think you should know and you never actually properly learn your subjects to a government standard. All students with SIDES have to write Provincial Exams and pass all assignments and tests from their work, and have all the same opportunity that any other public school student.

I think I actually explained it fairly well this time round, haha. Anyhow, I am taking my first public school course this fall which is of course, the Art course I've mentioned. I'm not sure how it is going to work out, and I may not stay with it if it isn't right for me. I have other things I'd like to do before getting out of high school, I still need to get my second language so I have entry to a university, I have a job offer I'm considering and I'd like to try acting or something of that sort because I'm done with my high school years.

This year I am currently taking the following courses: Principles of Mathmatics 11, Biology 11, English 11, Social Studies 11, Work Experience 11/12, Art 11, and I'm seriously considering taking up Introductory German 10 before we get much farther into this school year.

If you actually read all of that, you deserve a medal, haha. :)

Oh yes, I forgot I have a question.

How do/did you feel about high school?

I forgot how time consuming these types of shoots are, but I hadn't done anything like this, as in, anything other than just WDYWT shoots recently, I thought it would be fun. It kind of was for once, haha.

I've had that dress forever, I think I bought it when I was 12 or 13 from a Salvation Army Thrift Store. The bottom half used to be shorts, but my mum helped me make them into a skirt, looking back I kind wish I'd left it as shorts.

Those shoes are a half size too small, they feel killer, and have literally bruised my foot the first time I wore them, but they were 15$, a decent make, and they're gorgeous, I couldn't resist.

Beauty is pain...?

Military Jackets

I've been seeing Military Jacket's in almost every fashion magazine this year, especially for this autumn, I really like this fashion, I like it can add a great edge to many different outfits.

On The Runway

DG Fall 2009

The style has been seen on various runways, including Alexander McQueen, Temperley London and Colette Dinnigan.

Military Jackets For Sale

Military Jacket from Fred Flare

Personally, this is one of my favourite versions of the military jacket, from Arden B

Two more toned-down military jackets from Forever 21

Celebrity Style

And no blog post about Military Jacket fashion is complete without a few photos of the person, many, myself included, believe brought this style to life. The legendary, Michael Jackson, to me not only a music icon, but also an icon in fashion.

About This Blog:

I made this blog a little while ago, but only began posting on it recently. I always had thought blogging would be fun, but I wasn't sure if my blog would have any readers, so when I made a general poll about a month and a half ago on Chictopia, and many people answered, that yes, they would read it, I decided to start actually writing in my blog!
